Assistance League of Santa Clarita is a nonprofit organization made up of multi-talented member volunteers working together to fulfill its mission.

Our volunteers are dedicated to improving the lives of those in need in the Santa Clarita Valley.

The joy of giving is expressed through extraordinary philanthropic programs. Membership is open to those who have the time and passion to volunteer. Our programs are responsive to the needs of our community and provide many opportunities to serve.

Serve throughout the year on committees of your choice, volunteer for our philanthropic programs and work in our beautiful new Resale Store.

We provide many flexible opportunities to get involved on weekdays, weekends and evenings. Make new friends and celebrate the joy of making a difference in someone’s life.

Be a Part of Something Big — The Santa Clarita chapter is one of 120 chapters of Assistance League® throughout the USA. Your annual dues make you a part of a national network of caring volunteers.

Be Social — Make new friends while attending monthly membership meetings, socials, and special events, as you participate in both the business and the fun of the chapter.

After retiring from my work and long daily commute I was looking for an opportunity to become more involved in the Santa Clarita community. The Assistance League turned out to be a great choice! Not only were members friendly and encouraging, but volunteer opportunities are making a difference, especially for local schools. Beyond volunteering at the amazing resale store or for fundraisers, ALSC offers activities for everyone like book clubs, walking clubs and even the chance to learn to play the ukulele! So glad I joined!

I joined Assistance League of Santa Clarita because I wanted girlfriends and I wanted to help people. I joined Assistance League in March 2019. Although many programs had to be put on hold the following year, I am so proud to be part of an organization that helps others in the Santa Clarita Valley community and of the members that are so kind and supportive of each other in every possible way. The opening of the new resale shop is an example of this organization pooling its varied resources with a common goal utilizing the strengths of its members. In the future, I look forward to being a more active participant in this organization.

At the age of 12 I started my philanthropic service at Assistance League with my mother where we worked side by side on Saturdays to serve the community. I was taught to always help those in need and always give back. I am blessed to have continued my work with the same organization 46 years later and instill the same values in my own daughters. I am proud to be part of three generations working together volunteering to transform the lives of children and adults through community programs.

Types of Membership

Voting Member

  • Annual Dues: $75
  • Attend monthly chapter meetings
  • Participate in and support the philanthropic programs
    and fundraising activities of the chapter
  • Have the right to vote and hold office
  • Serve on a chapter committee including acting as an appointive chair
  • Volunteering in the Resale Store for two shifts per month, if possible, is encouraged

Nonvoting Member

  • Annual Dues: $75
  • Best option for members who cannot regularly attend monthly meetings
  • May not vote, hold office or serve as a committee chair
  • Includes all other privileges of voting members
